Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced and highly motivated HGV Workshop Technician / Mechanic to join our team of highly skilled technicians.

As the successful HGV Technician / Mechanic you will report to the Vehicle Maintenance Unit Manager and be a key member of the team. Working in a time-critical distribution environment, your key accountabilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining DPD’s fleet of approximately 1500 Mercedes Benz tractor units and 2700 trailers.
• Fault diagnostics on vehicles.
• MOT preparation for the vehicles.
• Weekly/monthly checks of HGV vehicles.
• Mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles.
• Since November 2022, over 60% of our HGV fleet use hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO).
