Deliver exceptional patient care at the Heart Function Clinic as a Registered Nurse (RN). Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage complex heart failure cases while ensuring high standards of care.
As a vital team member in the Schulich Heart Program, the RN will provide direct outpatient care, conduct assessments, and perform various clinical tasks. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams, including the Transfusion Medicine team for occasional coverage. You will also assist patients in using the Medly Application to monitor their health effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive patients and document nursing assessments and vital signs
• Triaging referrals and updating the administrative database
• Administer ECGs, intravenous therapy, and iron transfusions
• Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their care
