Health Unit Coordinator/Monitor Tech
The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) coordinates communication between nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients, and families relating to patient care. HUC facilitates unit operations through knowing and communicating information, managing the desk area, facilitating the use of technology, monitoring and communicating bed status, and coordinating downtime procedures. The HUC utilizes Epic to facilitate patient care orders and serves as an Epic resource to physicians and the nursing staff.
The primary function of the Monitor Tech (MT) is continual observation and recognition of normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms. This is accomplished through accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and continuou...
