Job Description
Reports To – Group Health & Safety Officer
Overview –To protect the health and safety of the employer and its employees by ensuring that health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards and procedures are implemented, monitored and effectively managed, including the identification of workplace risks and hazards. To be involved in risk management, the management of construction documentation, subcontractor coordination, and project close-out procedures. Requirements Matric/Grade 12 Advanced computer literacy Valid driver’s license Safety Management Training Course (SAMTRAC) and/or Safety Officer Training (SHETRAC) Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) training Legal Liability training/courses Incident Investigation training Basic knowledge of Hazardous Chemical Substances regulations and handling procedures Minimum of 5–10 years’ Health and Safety experience within the construction industry Thorough knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) legi...
