Job Purpose
The Health Access Specialist is Pfizer’s primary representative to the payer organizations they are assigned to cover. Health Access Specialists’ primary responsibility is to ensure optimal patient access to Pfizer’s approved vaccines by securing optimal coverage in the NIP and formulary placement by the assigned payers. They are expected to achieve this by:
- Establishing relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers (Payer´s/HCP´s) in the vaccine field at different levels to understand payers’ unmet needs and coordinating commercial & access inline health technologies’ objectives, and long-term business objectives, to maximize access
- Creating a customized value proposition for priority health technologies, based on a deep understanding of payer needs to secure access for vaccines, NIP and formulary inclusions, healthcare enhancement programs (e.g. disease awareness and education), and/or value based agreements, closely aligned with PHI team
