Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Staff Accountant, Grants & Contracts for a mission-driven organization in the Tampa Bay area. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional who is looking to grow their career while supporting meaningful work that directly impacts the local community. This position plays a key role in supporting the accounting and reporting of grant and contract activity. Working closely with the Grants Manager and finance leadership, the Staff Accountant will contribute to accurate financial reporting, compliance, and overall operational effectiveness within a collaborative and team-oriented environment and will primarily be responsible for:

+ Assisting with accounting for grants and contracts, including tracking expenditures and ensuring proper classification

+ Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end close activities
