If you’ve studied Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, or something people-focused, this could be your perfect first step. A welcoming primary school in Durham is looking for a Graduate SEN Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil who needs calm, consistent support.
You won’t be thrown in at the deep end. There’s a supportive SENCO, experienced TAs around you, and proper guidance from day one.
What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting a child with additional needs in the classroom
• Helping with routines, transitions, and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers and the SEND team
• Building trust, confidence, and small daily wins
