Position Summary

:

Under supervision of RN preceptor completes patient care assignments within a reasonable length of time, meeting the obvious needs of the patient.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


Under supervision of RN preceptor:

  • Completes patient care assignments within a reasonable length of time, meeting the obvious needs of the patient.

  • Contributes to the development of patient problem list using the nursing process: A.achieve established nursing care goals and/or
    B.prevent further pathophysiology and/or
    C.correct pathophysiology and/or
    D.maintain function.

  • Identifies patient’s ongoing and discharge teaching needs.

  • Demonstrates competency and knowledge in performing basic skills.Responds to real or simulated emergency and disaster situations according to established procedure.

  • Maintains a safe patient care environment.
