The United States Geological Survey’s (USGS) Mineral Resources Program is responsible for understanding the geology, mineral resources, and critical minerals that help power the Nation’s economy and support informed resource management decisions.
This is a rare opportunity to join us as a GIS Analyst to support USGS’s on-going resource investigations across the Western United States. This is not your typical GIS role. One day you may be georeferencing historic geologic maps and extracting data that has never been digitized. The next, you may be evaluating mineral occurrence information from technical reports, interpreting satellite imagery, building geospatial databases, or creating publication-quality maps, and figures that become part of USGS scientific product.
