Job Description

Geriatrician – Gisborne

Employment Type: Full-time

About Us: Join a dedicated team in Gisborne, where we prioritize health and well-being for our elderly population. We are seeking an experienced Geriatrician to play a pivotal role in our healthcare community, working alongside a diverse general medical team and the Te Ara Tiaki Pakeke (Healthy Aging Team).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-hospital consultative services for both surgical and medical services, including orthopedic patients and complex geriatric cases requiring capacity and pre-operative frailty assessments.
  • Oversee a dedicated rehabilitation team managing an 8-bed unit, ensuring high standards of care and rehabilitation outcomes.
