About the job Geologist - Mining - Northern Cape

Our client, a leading mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking a dynamic and qualified Junior Geologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist and expand iron ore resources by applying scientific methods such as remote sensing, geophysics, geological mapping, exploration drilling and representing data in 3 D models, assist in updating of current models using secondary drilling, pit mapping and blast-hole data to deliver an accurate mining model as well as covering of the value chain from reserve to planning to final product by optimizing grade and fragmentation, which includes but not limited to:

Geological services Core sampling and logging Geological software and database administration Mine planning Grade control Monitoring and reporting, SHERQ adherence and compliance and Work Ethics
