**Job Description:**

Genetic Counselor Graduates function under supervision of a Fully Licensed and American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certified Genetic Counselor or under the supervision an American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) certified physician leader to provide patient and family counseling, research, coordination of specialized care including lab data, specimen collection, retrieval of data and referrals, consultation with other patient care specialists and referring providers. They also provide staff education as needed.

This graduate position for those not certified at the time of hire and who must be supervised by a board-certified geneticist or a certified genetic counselor, is intended to be a temporary position while the caregiver works toward being fully licensed.
