Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner (GP) to join the South Westland Area Practice, serving approximately 1,600 enrolled patients across five clinics between Hari Hari and Haast.

In this role you will work alongside a Nurse Practitioner and a team of Rural Nurse Specialists, providing comprehensive healthcare in a rural community with significant tourist activity.

The West Coast of the South Island is rugged and isolated, with a small population of 32,500. Our team employs a Rural Generalist Model, offering multidisciplinary support to deliver high‑level care.

Skills & Experience

• Vocationally registered GP or on the pathway to achieving registration
• Ability to obtain registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
• Experience in rural or general practice settings is advantageous
