General Labor - Recycling Sorter (1st Shift)

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday

• 1st shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $17.40/hr

Location: Elkridge, MD

Position Summary:

The Recycling Sorter is responsible for separating and sorting recyclable materials on a conveyor line within a materials recovery facility (MRF). This role is essential to ensuring materials are properly processed and meet quality standards for recycling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate recyclable materials (paper, plastics, metals, etc.) from a moving conveyor belt

• Remove contaminants and non-recyclable items from the stream

• Maintain awareness of material types and sorting categories

• Keep work area clean and free of debris
