**Job Title: Forklift Operator**
**Job Description**
This role involves safely loading and unloading steel shipments, operating propane and electric forklifts, and supporting daily warehouse operations in a steel distribution environment. You will handle heavy loads, prepare orders for shipment, and occasionally operate an overhead crane while working closely with a small, collaborative warehouse team.
**Responsibilities**
Load and unload trucks carrying steel between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., typically handling 20u skids of steel per truck.
Operate propane and electric forklifts to move, stage, and organize steel loads, selecting the appropriate equipment based on load size and weight.
Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and ensuring products are handled safely and accurately.
