Surfline is seeking a motivated undergraduate student to join our Forecast Team as a part-time intern for Summer 2026. This role offers hands-on experience in surf forecasting operations, data analysis, and Python scripting. The intern will work closely with Lead Forecasters to support daily forecast production, validate data, and improve the accuracy and communication of surf reports for the U.S. East and West Coasts. 

Under Surfline’s “Work from Anywhere” policy, this position may be performed on a remote basis from any location within California.
What You'll Do:
Forecast Operations & Support 

+ Assist in creating daily surf reports and forecasts for domestic markets. 

+ Monitor real-time data sources (buoys, wind stations, smart cameras) for accuracy.

+ Participate in team discussions on forecast strategy and model interpretation.
