Key Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register with accurate asset details (cost, location, category, depreciation, and useful life).
• Record asset additions, disposals, transfers, and write-offs in the accounting system.
• Ensure asset capitalization complies with company policies and accounting standards.
• Perform monthly depreciation and complete closing in the system.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to fixed asset transactions.
• Ensure depreciation schedules are accurate and properly maintained.
• Maintain proper asset tagging and tracking for effective control.
• Perform monthly reconciliation between the fixed asset subledger and the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
