**Job Title: Finishing Technician**
**Job Description**
The Finishing Technician works on the first shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and is responsible for finishing sand castings by removing gating, cores, and excess material. This role supports a manufacturing environment focused on innovation and sustainability, contributing directly to the quality and readiness of cast products.
**Responsibilities**
+ Remove gating and excess material from sand castings using a belt sander and other finishing tools as needed.
+ Remove cores from castings while maintaining the integrity and quality of the finished parts.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
+ Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
+ Inspect workpieces during and after finishing to ensure they meet quality standards.
