Job Description
Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk performs accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Reviews, codes and verifies transactions and journal entries. Reconciles accounts and bank statements. Additionally, the Accounting Clerk may also process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process invoices, bills, and other financial documents
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist in monthβend and yearβend closing processes
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies
