Overview

The F&I Manager sells finance and insurance programs, aftermarket products and warranties to buyers of new and used marine, and recreational vehicles (RV). F&I managers also work with financial lenders to give fair interest rates (prime and sub-prime) to buyers and programs.

F&I managers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards, maintain profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction, and comply with federal, provincial and local regulations that affect their operations.

Strong communication skills are required to deal with customers, employees, and vendors as they represent the dealership. Work often requires extended hours, evenings, and weekends.
