Job Description
Working for BAE Systems supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection presents a unique challenge. You will work on a variety of vessel types and communication systems which present both challenge and reward. The Field Service Engineer position entails installation, maintenance and troubleshooting maritime and law enforcement radio equipment and modifications to OEM or existing radio and mounting configurations. These efforts include cable routing, harness buildup, wire and coaxial cable terminations, and mechanical mounting modifications. Periodic maintenance to include corrosion control are key elements as are the ability to test, troubleshoot and operate associated radios, satellite phones, intercommunications and headset systems. Travel to various coastal sites within the US and Puerto Rico will be required.
