Job Description

A leading law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its Family department, based in Somerset. The role is open to candidates from newly qualified level up to approximately five years’ post-qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of legal aid matters, under supervision, ensuring cases and transactions are progressed efficiently
  • Liaising directly with clients to take instructions and providing clear guidance that meets client expectations
  • Working closely with Partners and senior Lawyers to enhance client relationship skills
  • Proactively building and strengthening relationships with smaller clients
  • Scoping and pricing work effectively, with appropriate supervision
  • Preparing and progressing advocacy matters while negotiating appropriate outcomes for clients
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant SRA principles and professional conduct rules
  • Adhering to all risk management policies and procedures
