Position Summary

The Facilities Construction Inspector II makes inspections on aspects of facility construction projects including civil, mechanical, and electrical construction. The Facilities Construction Inspector II also performs contract administration related duties and assists in the coordination of the contract management team responsibilities.

Essential Functions

• Studies and reviews contract documents of proposed assignment, discussing same with their immediate supervisor
• Inspects taps, grading, and alignment of pipelines
• Inspects excavations, trenches, drainage, and paving
• Inspects all contract required work for conformance to approved plans, specifications, and contractor submittals
• Observes soil, concrete, structural and reinforcing steel, and other required quality control field tests/measures
• Ensures that required WSSC Water safety precautions are taken
