**Overview**

Kimley-Horn's San Diego, CA office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Transit team. This is not a remote position.

**Responsibilities**

+ The selected candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transit and rail projects with a particular focus on, but not limited to:

+ **Transit and Rail Projects:**

+ Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
+ Light Rail Transit (LRT)
+ Transit Centers / Maintenance Facilities
+ At-Grade Railroad Crossings
+ Concept development, final design, schedule development, and cost estimating

+ **Civil Engineering Tasks:**

+ Horizontal and vertical alignments
+ Grading and drainage design
+ Streetscape and roadway improvements
+ Multimodal design, including multi-use trails and complete streets
+ Traffic signal preemption calculations
+ Signage, striping, and signalization plans
