Lead Fund Accountant is primarily responsible for the oversight of a fund accountant’s daily workload. The Lead Fund Accountant is responsible for approving exception cases created by the Fund Accountant for 15-20 funds daily, including the most complex funds of the team. This position is also responsible for all functions related to the daily calculation of the net asset value for one to two assigned funds. This role identifies training needs for the fund accountants as well as identifies any potential issues related to client activity or procedures related to a client. The Lead Fund Accountant is a key contact with clients on fund issues and acts on behalf of or in the absence of the manager in reviewing critical fund accounting functions/transactions and in preparing reports for clients.
