About the Role

Auckland Council is looking for an Environmental Monitoring Officer to join our team, ensuring effective monitoring, compliance, and enforcement of resource consents. This full‑time, permanent position (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday) offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

West Auckland, NZ. Field duties are in Northwest Auckland and Central; office work is based in Albany and the Central Business District.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring at least 2 years of experience in planning, environmental compliance, or regulatory environments, ideally within a local government setting. You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Risk/Compliance Management, Environmental Science, Law, or a related area. A strong understanding of regulatory compliance best practices, a customer‑service ethic, and the ability to develop innovative solutions are essential.
