Job Description
**POSITION SUMMARY:** Chemists work in the field on customer locations conducting both chemical management/packaging/disposal services for hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Conducting routine inspection/audit services to assess customersβ compliance with hazmat storage, waste management, and occupational safety regulations.
+ Handling, classifying, segregating, labeling, and packaging hazardous and non-hazardous materials according to Federal and State regulations.
+ Training laboratory/production staff to understand proper chemical handling/storage techniques and relevant environmental laws.
+ Responding to emergency chemical spills and performing cleanup duties.
+ Preparing shipping documents and coordinating transportation of chemical products and hazardous waste materials to and from customer sites.
+ Performing consolidation of hazardous materials/waste (i.e., bulking, repackaging).
