As an Enterprise Portfolio Analyst, you will play a central role in supporting how Stats NZ plans, prioritises, and governs its enterprise-wide initiatives. Working closely with the broader Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO), your day‑to‑day work will focus on turning complex portfolio data into meaningful insights, strengthening governance practices, and building strong relationships across project and leadership teams.

In practice, this role is a mix of analysis, stakeholder engagement, and governance support.

On a day‑to‑day basis, you will be working across a portfolio of complex initiatives—developing a deep understanding of how projects are performing, how they align to strategy, and where there are risks or opportunities emerging. You will regularly analyse portfolio data, identify patterns and themes in initiative health, and translate this into clear, actionable insights that support investment decisions and prioritisation.
