Position Overview

Reporting to the Lead – Physical Plant Services, the Engineer 5th Class monitors and maintains building and medical‑related systems and associated equipment in a 5th‑class plant. The incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, methods, and actions on unusual matters, consistently aligning with Southern Health‑Santé Sud’s mission, vision, values, and policies.

Experience

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a maintenance position.
• Previous experience with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating, or air‑conditioning.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

• Power Engineering – 5th Class Certificate recognized by the Province of Manitoba.
• Other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.
