Job Description
ENDOSCOPY TECHNICIAN
Department: Endoscopy
Schedule:36 hours per week, Day Shift, 8:00am – 5:30pm flex shift. 4, 9-hour shifts 8-1730 flex. On-call coverage for off-shifts 1 full week including a weekend required, rotated approximately every 4 weeks.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Endoscopy Technician functions as part of the Endoscopy Team under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or a Physician and collaborates with all members of the Endoscopy Team. Adheres to accepted standards and follows department policies and procedures while preparing for and assisting with endoscopic procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Apply the principles of asepsis in a competent manner to provide optimum patient care.
