To be considered for MEMS EMT Rookie School, you must meet these requirements:

• Achieved a high school diploma or equivalent.


• Possess a current, valid Arkansas driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Minimum age of 19 at the start of class.
• Be physically fit and able to pass a physical examination.
• Attained acceptable scores on a recent college placement exam.
• One option is the Accuplacer entrance exam, which is offered onsite at MEMS at no cost to the candidate.  Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
