Overview
Under the direction of the Program Director/Manager and Medical Director, the Transport EMT is accountable for responding to all assigned transports in the most appropriate and efficient manner, providing high standards of patient care while ensuring a safe and hazard free environment. The transport EMT is responsible for safe ground ambulance transport of patients. The transport EMT contributes to overall patient care in areas of patient assessment, treatment, packaging and transport. This position interacts throughout the facility internally, and with patients and their families externally. The transport EMT must also possess excellent interpersonal skills as s/he is instrumental in providing community outreach and education.
