Responsibilities

Ensures both personnel and vehicle readiness and availability to respond to accident or sudden illness or emergencies. Responds to medical emergency calls, drives to the scene, and provides basic life support to victims before they are transported to the hospital.

Evaluates the nature and extent of illness or injury to determine the right course of actions. Conducts patient assessment, including interpretation of ECG, and provides medical aid such as AED, CPR, and prevents spinal damage, ventilation, control severe bleeding, prevent shock, bandage wounds, etc. Administers activated charcoal, oral glucose, and oxygen. Constantly assesses the patient en‑route to the emergency facility and administers additional care as indicated or directed by medical control.
