About the Norwegian Red Cross

The Norwegian Red Cross (NoRC) is part of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement, the world’s largest humanitarian network, operating in more than 190 countries. The Movement works to alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold human dignity, particularly in situations of armed conflict, disasters, and other emergencies.

Purpose of the Advertisement

This advertisement invites applications for training leading to potential admission to the Norwegian Red Cross Emergency Response (ER) roster. It does not relate to a permanent or specific position within the Norwegian Red Cross. NoRC maintains a roster of trained and experienced specialist delegates who can be deployed at short notice to international emergencies, including natural disasters, armed conflicts, health emergencies, and climate‑related crises.
