Emergency Department Urgent Care Specialists – Fixed term 6 months – various FTE opportunities.

Come work in a brisk, busy and expanding Emergency Department at Gisborne Hospital. Our rising census includes an increased proportion of urgent care and lower acuity patients, and we are looking for assistance. Doctors who are comfortable with rapid decision making, minor procedures and who enjoy a cheerful, rapid‑paced environment are encouraged to apply. Doctors from a general practice, urgent care or rural medicine background are all welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Assist with rapid decision making and minor procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members.
• Escalate complex cases to the Emergency Department consultant for advice.
