Position Overview

Under the direction of the Child Welfare Manager or designate, the Emergency After Hours Worker is responsible for providing after hours child protection services by performing the Intake duties of receiving reports of abuse and/or neglect and investigating these reports as may be required, in accordance with provisions of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Ministry Regulations and Standards, Abuse Protocols, Risk Assessment Tool and Dilico Anishinabek Family Care policies and procedures.

Hours of Work

The position is based on an as needed basis at your availability and service delivery requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Applicants must meet at least one of the following:
  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Services or a related field considered an asset.
