**Summary**

+ The **Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Technician III** applies technical knowledge to maintain legacy security management systems and solve issues to include a variety of subsystems within the Electronic Security System (ESS), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) System, Video Recording System, Intercom System, Public Address System, Fiber Optic Communications Network, and Asset Tracking System.

**Responsibilities**

+ Use diagnostic equipment/software and established troubleshooting techniques to isolate network deficiencies, equipment failures and operational anomalies.
+ Read and adhere to blueprints and design plans for the installation of sub-level devices (e.g., patch panels, junction boxes) on large or complex jobs and head end equipment on small or less complex jobs.
+ Read and understanding component level schematic diagrams for systems, equipment and devices.
