Job Description

Northumberland Ferries Limited, a regional leader in the transportation industry, seeks an Electrician / Electro‑Technical Officer to join our team. The role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on vessels operating from Wood Islands, PE, and Caribou, NS year‑round. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the position carries out scheduled preventive maintenance, handles corrective tasks as required, and performs all electrical maintenance safely and timely across all departments.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of a vessel’s electrical machinery, systems, and test equipment, and provide advice for challenging tasks. Crew members must understand the Muster list, emergency duties, Vessel Emergency Plan, and SMS training manual.
