Responsibilities

The primary function of the Electrical Technologist will be to design, install, maintain, program, configure and troubleshoot electrical machinery, controls, industrial automation and data acquisition systems. Receive and/or prepare wiring diagrams, specifications and instructions covering scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work. Analyze all types of drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and equipment, determine material or replacement needs and select a logical approach to troubleshooting and repair problems. Plan details or working procedures to achieve the most logical approach to the job. Plan and perform work requiring specification codes, material properties, and principles of operation and application of equipment.
