The Emergency Medical Technician performs and documents direct routine patient care under licensed provider's supervision according to hospitals guidelines.

Qualifications

Age of Patients Served: All Age Groups. Required Education: High School Diploma or GED or Vocational Training Necessary Skills: 1. Knowledge of patient care and basic human needs within life span. 2. Knowledge of medical terminology 3. Knowledge of aseptic techniques 4. Knowledge of acute and chronic disease processes 5. Knowledge of standard universal precautions 6. Basic knowledge of anatomic structure and human body systems 7. Ability to recognize obvious job related emergencies 8. Ability to maintain confidentiality 9. Ability to read and write in English 10.
