Paramedic Position

Maimonides is currently seeking an experienced Paramedic to render basic and emergency life support to patients in the pre-hospital and inter-hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Handle treatment and patient care responsibilities are delivered with a knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Treat patients in accordance with New York City and State Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) guidelines. Documents and is held accountable for, all medical treatment personally rendered to patients. Demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; prepares reports and statistics completely and accurately.

Inspect assigned ambulance daily to account for all medical equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition and all mechanical components are operating properly.

Operate ambulance in a safe, courteous manner while obeying all traffic laws.
