Job Description
Job Title: Early Years SEN Support Practitioner
Location: Gateshead
Hours: 8:30am β 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Temporary, term-time only
Are you a calm, consistent, and nurturing presence who understands that every child communicates in their own way? Do you have the patience and empathy to support children with a range of needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, and communication and sensory differences? If youβre passionate about helping children feel safe, understood, and ready to learn, this could be the ideal role for you.
We are working with a welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Gateshead that is looking to appoint an Early Years SEN Support Practitioner within their EYFS provision.
The role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
Support children with ASC, SLD, and communication/sensory needs
Use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables
