The Teacher Assistant is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the Early Childhood Education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The Teacher Assistant may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD), OR sixty (60) college semester hours with a minimum of 15 semester hours of credit in ECE or CD or Unrelated degree with a current Preschool CDA.
+ Gateways Level 4 ECE Credential for Infant & Toddler or Early Head Start is required upon hire
+ Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
