Job Description
Early Childhood Partnership is seeking an Independent Domestic Abuse Specialists to join our team, based at Bedfordshire Police Headquarters. The roles will work alongside an established Force Control Room Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate (IDVA). These posts are offered on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027.
Raneem’s Law is a set of new measures introduced by the Government in 2024, in response to the murder of Raneem Oudeh and her mother, Khaola Saleem. Raneem and Khaola were murdered by Raneem’s ex-partner in 2018. Raneem’s Law is a pledge aiming to halve violence against women and girls over the next decade. Bedfordshire was part of Phase 1 of the national rollout of Raneem’s Law - a landmark initiative transforming the way police respond to domestic abuse emergencies.
