Job Description
Job Summary Counsellor – Grades K-12 – 1.0 FTE continuing contract. Starting September 8, 2026 or upon completion of the posting process. Location: District (Elkford).
Qualifications
Master’s Degree recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch in Counselling, Psychology in Counselling or Psychology.
Degree, formal training or teaching experience at the K‑12 level.
Training and/or experience in trauma‑informed practice.
BC Teacher Certification preferred.
Terms & Conditions Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).
Salary and Benefits Salary range: $70,392 to $119,187, placement based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Competitive benefits package and pension.
