OVERVIEW

The Director, Surgery Health Services plays a pivotal leadership role in advancing one of Michael Garron Hospital’s largest and most dynamic clinical programs. Reporting to the Chief, Acute Care Programs and working in close collaboration with the Co‑Medical Directors, the Director provides strategic and operational leadership for a comprehensive Urban Community Hospital Surgical Program that includes 17 Operating Rooms, inpatient surgical services, multiple procedural areas, ambulatory orthopedics, medical device processing and an off‑site surgical centre.

As a key steward of clinical excellence, the Director is accountable for the clinical, technical, educational, human resource, and financial performance of the Surgery Health Service.
