POSITION:

•                 DIRECTOR OF SURGERY – Registered Nurse DEPARTMENT:       SURGERY FLSA STATUS:          EXEMPT Keeps Director of Nurses and Administrator informed of department needs, conditions of equipment and facilities, legal aspects of surgery procedures, policy violations.  Meets with Director of Nurses and Administrator to discuss departmental objectives, budget, and major purchase priorities, management problems, policies and procedures.


• Capable of performing RN duties in other departments.  Complies with established policies and procedures and nursing standards in hospital.
• Maintains and helps develop good employee relationships in department, hospital, and public.  Seeks staff cooperation.  Meets with floor nurse.  Consults with other departments.
