Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Medical Director, this individual is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, directing and monitoring nursing care. This individual has the authority to take steps to prevent or control the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents.
Essential Job Functions:
* Review of data collection activities and nursing assessments.
* Direct observation of performance of primary nursing duties.
* Provides strategic direction for assigned departments, setting, and communicating short- and long-term goals and planning/implementing special projects and policies.
* Oversees development of the annual operating budget for assigned clinical areas, including appropriate requests for capital expenditures. Maintains the operational budget.
