Duties Description The Director of Hospital Procurement (Director) serves as the lead facilitator for System Administration, and system-wide, procurement related to SUNY State-operated hospitals and other health related needs. The Director identifies and develops new procurement opportunities across the system. This role partners with System Administration and hospital/campus stakeholders to propose, design, pilot, and implement strategic procurement initiatives in the health and hospital sphere. Responsibilities include creating and refining policies and processes to support these initiatives, as well as establishing and monitoring key point indicators to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. This role ensures system-wide procurement strategies, contracts, and processes are understood, adopted, and aligned with health and hospital operational and clinical needs, driving adoption, compliance, and value realization across hospital spend.
