GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Provides individuals in community-based program with support services designed to promote the self-determination, independence, productivity, integration and inclusion in community. Accomplishes this through culturally competent programs aimed at teaching new skills in the areas of self-care, managing behavior, community integration and other activities of daily living. This is carried out with respect and dignity and in accordance with Journey Found policies and procedures.



As relief you are expected to work at least 16 hours per month and attend house orientation to a minimum of 3 programs in order to maintain your employment. As a Direct Support Specialist Relief the responsibilities described below are carried out in any and/or all of the programs in a cluster under the direction of a Director of Support Services.
